Marie L. Loscavio, Ed.D

Marie Loscavio received a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Boston University in 1981.  In the early part of her career, Marie’s major area of focus was the research and practice of psychotherapy.  She worked in hospitals, clinics and maintained a private practice for twenty years. She published five research articles in the area of non-state hypnosis.

 Dr. Loscavio turned her interest in 1985, from clinical practice to the emerging crisis in leadership that she perceived in the American business culture.  Her study of behavior and the human ego led her to search for ways that she might impact the development of leaders by providing them with a larger context for their behavior.  Marie began to apply her understanding to coaching and development with business leaders.

Dr. Loscavio founded a Boston based consulting firm in 1987 and in 1998 she moved to Atlanta to merge her company with Cognova Consulting Inc.  Marie has worked with developing leaders in several Fortune 50 companies, a Boston-based venture capital firm and several technology start-up companies. In 1998 she accepted a position at Lucent/Agile Technologies as VP of worldwide customer service and technical training.  She is currently President and CEO of Atlanta based Cognova Consulting Inc.
